Ishmael Wadada Leo Smith, trumpet player, multi-instrumentalist and composer, this double CD comes with two very different faces to show their creativity. One of the recordings cds deals with the Golden Quintet and the other CD with the nonet Organic, are live concerts recorded in 2008 and 2009 respectiuvamente.
The formations that accompany it are a high level of instrumental and songwriting, trumpet, piano, bass, two batteries in the quintet, trumpet, three or four electric guitars, cello, bass, bass and drums in the nonet Organic. The compositions performed are different than the detail of South Central LAKulture, which closes the Golden Quintet concert and the concert opens Organic Nonet.
The sound of the nonet of Wadada Leo Smith recalls the electric Miles Davis stage and while many musicians on stage solos are very well organized which makes us enjoy every one of the voices.
